Homemade Applesauce

My son recently made homemade applesauce in preschool and thankfully I didn't throw away the recipe the teacher sent home with how to make it. This was the perfect use for the apples from our apple picking in September in the refrigerator that were not going to stay good much longer.

Crockpot Applesauce

8-10 peeled, cored and sliced apples
1/2-1 cup of water
1/4-3/4 cup of sugar
2-4 teaspoons of cinnamon

Mix all to taste in crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 hours. 
Not necessary but you may stir occasionally to dissolve apple chunks.

I discovered homemade applesauce last year. I had no idea how easy it is! I do not even peel the apples, nor add any sugar. Only some cinamon. I wiz it all with the immersion blender after the apples are completely cooked and you can't even notice skins or anything. So delicious!
